Part 3
To The End of the Road - Lands End.

We kept to the main road so we made good progress, conveniently getting to Truro for a lunch break. It was warm and sunny so after lunch we walked around the town.

Falmouth This is a view over Falmouth harbour from a high viewing route, specially signposted for visitors. Directly below are busy docks (including dry docks); some cranes are clearly visible in the picture.

Just a little further on this route we came accross the "seaside holiday resort" part of Falmouth. The castle is high up on the hill, near the area of the previous picture.

Mousehole Maidens
Mousehole harbour.
An unspoilt fishing village on the coast road to Penzance.
The Merry Maidens Bronze Age stone circle (near the same road).
A group of maidens were turned to stone when they were caught dancing on the Sabbath.
